Terms & Conditions

These terms apply whenever you book a journey with Docks Taxis Rosyth, whether by phone, WhatsApp, email or through this website. By booking with us, you accept these terms.

Bookings and fares

• Fares are agreed as a fixed price before you travel wherever possible, based on the pickup, destination and journey details you give us.
• A fare may be adjusted if the actual pickup, destination or route differs materially from what was booked, or where a customer requests a diversion or additional stop.
• Waiting time beyond a reasonable grace period at pickup may be charged in addition to the agreed fare.
• Payment is due to the driver at the end of the journey, or by prior arrangement for business accounts.

Cancellations and no-shows

• You can cancel or amend a booking free of charge by calling or messaging us as soon as possible.
• If a driver arrives at the agreed pickup point and cannot make contact with you or you do not appear within a reasonable time, the journey may be treated as a no-show and a charge may apply.

Luggage, tools and equipment

Please let us know at the time of booking if you're travelling with unusually large or heavy luggage, tools or equipment, so we can send a suitable vehicle. We reserve the right to decline items that cannot be safely or legally carried.

Child seats

Child seats can be requested at the time of booking. Please give us as much notice as possible so we can make sure the right seat is available for your journey.

Passenger conduct

Drivers may refuse or end a journey if a passenger's behaviour puts the safety of the driver, passengers or vehicle at risk, or if the vehicle is at risk of damage or contamination. A cleaning charge may apply in the case of damage or soiling caused by a passenger.

Our liability

We carry appropriate insurance for our licensed vehicles and drivers. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including traffic, weather, road closures or events at airports, ports or the Dockyard that affect access times.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
